Established in 2009, and registered
with Ministry of Justice Islamic Republic of Afghanistan with license number 1684.
The Afghan Society Against Cancer, (ASAC) is the leading organization dedicated
to increase cancer awareness and help the medical professionals reduce the incidence
of cancer and ensure the best cancer care for everyone in Afghanistan.
We are the leading cancer patient advocate
in Afghanistan, providing a voice on all kinds of issues including cancer detection
and treatment. We have a National Office located in capital Kabul and will establish
four regional offices through out the country in near future, all of which will
be involved in providing cancer support programs to the public.

To reduce cancer incidence in Afghanistan
and improve public awareness level regarding cancer.

Objectives:

Provision of awareness campaigns to enhance the society’s level of knowledge about
cancer.

Determination of risk factors for cancer in Afghanistan

Establishment of early diagnostic facilities though the utilization of modern and
standardized methods approved by the World Health Organization.

Establishment of curative and research centers for cancer.

Improving the health worker’s level of knowledge by conducting workshops, seminars
and training programs on cancer.

Establishing surveillance system in the country which could provide statistics and
data about the cancer in Afghanistan.
